SPOILER The ending of Kimi No Na Wa is disappointing. Finished watching the movie ten minutes ago. I'm moved, to say the least, but I'm disappointed in the ending. What mattered for me was that they would remember their experience switching bodies and trying to save the town's residents from dying.
Kimi No Na Wa doesn't only run through one timeline and/or universe, and there are 2 Taki and Mitsuha. A hint was given by Tessie (Mitsuha's bald friend), about the subconscious is linked to the Everett Multiverse.
